The conviction and the bond
State v. SaraswatiHays Co. CR-08-272 / CR-08-273A Hays County jury convicted Prakashanand Saraswati on twenty counts of indecency with a child in March 2011. He had already fled; the court sentenced him to 280 years in absentia.
Bond forfeitureHays Co. 11-0484 / 11-0485Peter Spiegel is named the bond’s Surety and Indemnitor. He intervened to fight the forfeiture, then nonsuited himself two days before the State won summary judgment.
